...it shows me that there is a new man within me, who has been recreated according to God's Nature, but is one that my mind is not automatically cognizant of. I believe him to be my Spiritual-Self. My Spirit. It is God's desire for me to throw off my old ways of thinking and feeling, and allow the qualities and characteristics of my new inner-man to fill and flood my mind, heart, will, and emotions. To be metamorphisized from the inside to the outside. To be renewed in the "Spirit' of my mind. I would welcome responses to this.

This is in response to the infant question posed awhile back. God's sovereing choice and plan through election could be the a possible answer to your question "where do infants go" or moreover can they be saved. My answer is, Yes they can be. Examples of God's "chosen" people is layed throughout all scripture and is exemplified through Jeremiah, "before you were born I set you apart"

Why is it that now, most consider Sunday as a day of rest? If it says that he rested on the Sabbath. Is there any where else in the bible, where it shows to rest on a different day? Did we just decide to change it because it was more convenient for us to follow Sunday? It is also part of the 10 Commandments, is it not?

'In the beginning' means what?
1. Does it mean the creation of the Universe and time and space?
2. Does it refer to the time when God was created or came into existence?

Because it refers to the beginning of creation, which possibly was at least millions and millions of years ago... verse 2 refers to the 're-creation' of the earth which was approxamately 2000 years ago.

There are so many contradictory statements in the "truth", the "word of god", the "law". I am a very moral person who believes that you should be good to your fellow man and respect all whitch is living. However, I do not understand how a just, loving God can permit the very things he orders. Take a look in the bible, thou shalt not kill, one of the ten commandments, read Duet 22:21, he commands the stoning of women who are not virgins are thier wedding night. Is this not murder? He tells us to love one another we homosexuality is a sin, sex in general is a sin. And, God tells us to shun these behaviors and convert them. The "MURDER" of countless happens over and over and over in what we call THE WORD OF GOD. How shall we live our lives according to his plan. If God truly, SEES ALL AND KNOWS ALL before we ever do, then he created homosexuality, he created war, poverty, and countless other "sinful" did he not? Or, will you argue free will? If God was just and forgiving then good people would not be sent to hell for not believing and rapists and murderers sent to heaven for simply turning from thier wicked ways... i give to charity, help as many as i can, am loyal in my relationships, do not curse others, love, sacrafice for the good of all that lives, and am against violence at all costs, including religious, yet will i go to hell, simply because i can not understand or believe that a loving God would so judge his "children?

After my best friend died at 30 years old, I was at me lowest low. I was lying down, crying and crying, feeling the saddest I ever had in my life. This feeling of warmth and wind came into my body and it felt like I was floating in bright lightness and warmth. After reading Acts 2 vs.2 and 3, I truly believe I was being comforted by the holy spirit. Has anyone else experienced anything like this at difficult times in their lives?

1 John 3:15 says Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

This says if you murder you do not have eternal life in you, "at that time" it does not mean you cannot ever have eternal life. Who died on the cross next to Christ? A murder, Did Jesus not grant him life into the kingdom of GOD? To kill yourself is a sin but if saved it is a forgiveable sin. And it is also not something that GOD would want you too do, he wants you too live and be used for his kingdom

How often we seek the Lord to fulfill the "desires of thine heart." The next verse,5 , has a greater meaning to me though, because of the admonition to, "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.
The Lord knows our true heart condition and just wants us to seek Him with a true desire to "commit" to Him, fully and continually.
This is the difficult challenge for us believers. How often do we pray for something, receive it and then continue in our own directions, failing to seek the Lord's further guidence, until the next need arises. As I am seeking and praying to the Lord for a miracle of healing for my sweet wife, this need of commitment becomes more and more a true desire of my heart. After all, isn't the end conclusion of this life's journey, for those who've accepted Jesus in their hearts, an eternity in the Arms of our Loving Father? Now that's a completed commitment! What do you think?

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

No matter how I have been judged by man the Lord is always by my side to the fullest. Man should never judge another persons faith in the Lord when they have their own to account for.

'And the Earth was without form'?
1. Is the author writing about the physical form or the Earth? How can the Earth be without form?
2. I belive this refers to the time when the Earth was being created from nothing.

Currently, this verse reminds me of those suffering from hurricane katrina. I believe those whose homes were on lowest ground experienced the greatest devastation (materially). Everyone needed to get to higher ground (the hills) to be safe from the flooding.

I am reminded to remain focused on the higher ground in my life (Phillipians 4:8) and not on the rising flood waters (problems) than can so easily engulf me. I feel The Lord's Presence most intensely when I am looking beyond my problems into His Character. As I do this, the opportunity to grow and change through my current trials is great. So, today, I hope that I reflect Jesus just a little bit more than yesterday.

Question! 'Lights' refer to the stars in the universe, obviously. But we cannot ignore all those other planets that are floating around out there that do not give off light. So....is there a scripture that tells us when God placed the other planets in the universe or am I to assume that these planets were created when he created the lights (stars) in the firmament of space?

I could be reading this wrong..but according to this verse I find that the birds of the air originated from the sea?? For it says "Let the waters bring forth ...fowl that may fly above the earth.." [Gen 1:24] says that the earth brought forth the beasts of the earth and [Gen 1:26] says that man was brought forth from God, Himself, and [Gen 1:21] says that the fish came from the sea but where do birds come from? The sea?

I had always been taught that in their pride, these people were not only building a city and a tower for their own glory (to reach into heaven), but also to deliberately resist God's command in [Gen. 9:1](NIV) to "fill the earth" by banding together and planting themselves firmly in the plain of Shinar. However, I recently read on an archaeology website ( http://www.christiananswers.net/archaeology/home.html ) that some scholars believe (if I understand them correctly) that [Gen. 9:1] is more accurately interpreted as God giving mankind His blessing and permission to fill the earth instead of a command to do so. These scholars suggest that there was actually nothing wrong with these people's desire to stay together, build a city, and do great things together, but the problem came because of the direction their efforts soon took...building a ziggurat type tower that would eventually lead to the corruption of religion and a distorted concept of God and man(which they were already showing symtoms of by thinking they could approach God in heaven on their own terms)...even the degradation of the very nature of God by casting idols in the image of man (which eventually happened). They suggest that God intervened at this time to delay this corruption and insolence. He would later use Abraham and Israel to reveal Himself to the world again and "reeducate" mankind. Obviously, pride was an issue here any way you look at it. Pride seems to be at the root of all sin...but was there open defiance against God here as well?...or were these people simply blinded and led astray by their pride? Wow, makes me wonder if I'm ever guilty of trying to appoach the LORD on my own terms instead of His!

Nowhere in the Bible does God compartmentalize sin and reserve grace only for those who commit "acceptable" sins. There is no such thing. Does God forgive suicide? Yes, He does. If the person who committed suicide at some time accepted Jesus' death on the cross as payment for his sin debt and asked Him into his life, he is forgiven. If a person has ever taken that step and received Christ as Savior, nothing can alter the truth that, as children of God, we are forgiven. Even when we rebel against God, He is faithful to keep His Word.
